WB-Learning that he is fated to be vanquished by The Charmed Ones, The Source taps into the ultimate power of The Hollow, which consumes all magical powers, both good and evil. As he goes after Phoebe (Alyssa Milano), Paige (Rose McGowan) and Piper's (Holly Marie Combs) powers one by one, the lives of both Leo (Brian Krause) and Cole (Julian McMahon) hang in the balance. Dorian Gregory also stars. Jon Paré directed the episode written by Monica Breen and Alison Schapker.

TV Guide-The Source releases a dangerous dark cloud that has the ability to steal magical powers from demons and witches; Phoebe has a premonition of Cole's death occurring as a consequence of saving her life.

TV Tome-The Source breaks an age-old agreement between good and evil by stealing The Hollow, an ancient vapor which he uses to absorb first Piper's and then Paige's powers. Phoebe must allow Cole to help The Charmed Ones in spite of having had a premonition that involved Cole sacrificing his life to save her from evil. But there may be more to the premonition Phoebe just can't see.
